Editorial policy
Local Travel Journal aims to make local travel easier to think about and more rewarding to notice. We write with care, explain what we can support, and make our editorial and commercial boundaries visible.
Accuracy and care
We check factual claims against suitable sources before publication and review the wording for clarity. Articles offer general ideas, not a guarantee about a particular route or destination. Conditions and access can change; readers should use current local information when a specific journey depends on it.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers, not because a place or product has paid for favourable coverage. Where a commercial relationship could shape how material is understood, we explain it clearly.
Corrections
If you spot an error or unclear passage, please use the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid features, partner contributions and other material created through a commercial collaboration are labelled so readers can recognise them. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; they are illustrative rather than documentary and are identified where used.
